Meet Your Audiologist: Dr. Alaina D. Becker, AuD
Dr. Alaina D. Becker earned her Bachelor of Sciences in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Indiana University and completed her Clinical Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) at the University of South Florida.
She is a Board Certified Audiologist who provides evaluation and treatment for hearing loss and tinnitus and specializes in the selection, fitting, and repair of hearing aids. Dr. Becker has more than 10 years of experience in audiology and emphasizes patient education, counseling, and individualized hearing-aid care

Comprehensive Hearing Evaluations in Sun City Center
A hearing evaluation at Refined Hearing is designed to provide more than a basic hearing screening. The practice evaluates your hearing and related concerns so Dr. Becker can explain what the results mean and discuss appropriate next steps.
Depending on your needs, the evaluation may include:
- Medical and hearing history: Discussion of your hearing concerns, health history, lifestyle, and situations in which you have difficulty hearing.
- Physical ear examination: Otoscopic examination of the ear canals and eardrums to identify wax buildup or other physical findings that could affect hearing.

- Speech recognition testing: Assessment of your ability to hear and understand speech, including testing designed to evaluate speech understanding in more challenging listening situations.

What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first visit is an opportunity to understand what's happening with your hearing and determine what, if anything, should be done next.
You'll talk with Dr. Becker about changes you've noticed in your hearing, tinnitus, communication difficulties, dizziness, earwax concerns, or problems with existing hearing aids.

The office is located on Upper Creek Drive in a professional medical-office building.
